THE AUTHOR
• Born 1961 in Nowra, New South Wales, Australia
• Moved to Deniliquin as a child and discovered the game of golf
• Played throughout teen years at Deniliquin Golf Club

• At age 18, returned to Melbourne to pursue dream of being golf pro
• Served three years apprenticeship at Ringwood Golf Club; teaching, repairing clubs and running golf shop
• In 1982, became fully qualified member of the Australian Professional Golfers’ Association (PGA)
• Played professional circuit for three years, served as assistant golf pro for other professionals
• Returned to Melbourne as full-time Club Pro; teaching and conducting beginners’ golf seminars
• In 1995, became Resident Golf Professional at the Emerald Country Club east of Melbourne.
• Two years later, returned to Melbourne as Resident Pro at Box Hill Golf Club and remained for eight years, while actively teaching and managing a staff of six – three of whom went on to become top professionals.
• Served as instructor for eight years for Junior Golf Camps run by the Victorian Golf League
• Served on Victorian PGA General and Club Pro Relations Committee, overseeing month-to-month activities and Association issues
• Studied psychology in order to apply principals to improve golf guidance
• In 2004, put teaching theories into book
• Currently living and teaching in Santa Rosa, USA with wife Judy and son Sean.
